IP1041 IPAL Diffusion Coating

Ipal IP1041 diffused aluminide coating is designed as a protective coating for gas turbine hot section parts at temperatures up to 1000ºC. Ipal IP1041 is used for sulphidation protection in industrial and marine gas turbines. Often used on nickel based turbine alloy materials the coating imparts a high temperature oxidation resistant aluminide coating for turbine components in all areas of industrial and aero gas turbine use.

IP9183-R1 High Heat Resistant Sacrificial Aluminium Coating

"Sacrificial Aluminium Coating that is part of a range of corrosion resistant coatings designed for use in challenging environments such as aero engine, power generation and marine situations. Spray applied Ipcote is used, on turbine blades, rotors, shafts and landing gear to protect components from salt laden atmospheres, high temperature oxidation, chemicals and abrasives.

HIGH HEAT COATINGS
The coating provides corrosion and oxidation protection to iron, steel, heat treated stainless steel alloys, titanium and other metallic substrates at temperature of up to 700°C. Ipcote can also be super or vibro polished (RPS 619) to enhance flow of air in aircraft engines where smooth surfaces are essential to enhance energy efficiency (See also Ipseal IP9184 and Smoothseal IP9444). IP9183-R1, when vibro polished achieves a Ra surface finish of ≤ 12 micro inches."

IP9356 IPThin Thin Film High Heat Resistant Sacrificial Aluminium Coating

"Sacrificial Aluminium Coating that is part of a range of corrosion resistant and high temperature resistant coatings designed for use in challenging environments such as aero engine, power generation and marine situations.

IP9442 Smoothcote

"A product similar to Ipcote IP9183-R1, but with a smoother surface finish. With a typical sprayed surface finish of approximately 20 micro inches, this product presents little resistance to air flow or roughness resulting in low dirt and carbon deposit pick up.

This material is also capable of being polished to finer finishes than IP9183-R1. Finishes of less than 10 micro inches have been achieved. A very smooth surface such as this is necessary to reduce friction and to enhance efficiency in aero engines.

This product has been specifically developed as part of a system replacement to provide an alternative to 5380DP. Used in conjunction with IP9444 (Smoothseal) the two products are designed to give similar appearance and surface finish to competitor products."

IP9444 Smoothseal

Smoothseal is an inorganic protective coating used as a barrier on Ipcote IP9183-R1, IP9253, PL219, Ipthin IP9356. Smoothseal cures to provide an ultra-smooth finish to improve dirt shedding and air flow properties. All of the Ipcote coatings are conductive, sacrificial coatings and inherently porous. Smoothseal seals this porosity without detracting from their sacrificial properties. It also creates an electrically non-conductive barrier coat. The use of Smoothseal on top of these products results in an ultra-smooth, harder coating which provides a barrier against carbon deposits etc, extending the useful life of the base coat, and ultra-smooth finish which enhances airflow characteristics and therefore engine efficiency. When used to give an alternative system to Sermatech’s 5380 system, it is applied over specially prepared Ipcote IP9183, (apply for Rolls process Spec 666/5) A light golden yellow colour, it has similar appearance to 5380DP

IP9447-R1 Green Smoothseal

"A light green, inorganic protective coating used as a barrier normally on Smoothcote IP9442 to give an ultra smooth finish. Smoothseal, seals any porosity within the sacrificial aluminium coatings that it covers and creates an electrically non-conductive barrier coat. In addition, it results in a smoother harder coating which provides a barrier against carbon deposits etc, extending the useful life of the base coat and gives a smoother finish, which enhances air flow characteristics and therefore, engine efficiency.
When used to give an alternative system to Sermatech’s 5380 system, it is applied over specially prepared IP9442."
